"Based on the award-winning book by Hernán Garrido-Lecca, which received the prestigious National Environmental Award in 2014, “Milagros: An extraordinary bear” is a production that combines adventure, fun and a powerful message that not only touches the hearts of young people and adults, but also promotes ecological restoration. MAPFRE, co-sponsor of the film and part of the “Milagros and Friends” campaign, contributed to the planting of more than 1,000 native trees and the certification of the film as Climate Positive. This campaign sets a new standard in the film industry worldwide, demonstrating that all economic sectors have the capacity to contribute to the decarbonization of the economy."

Integral Commitment to Sustainability Initiatives

"Luz del Sur operates in an integrated manner, implementing sustainable practices throughout its entire production chain. Among these activities is our participation as co-sponsors to the certification of the "Milagros: An extraordinary bear" film as Climate Positive. Additionally, our certification with Forest Friends helped develop the 'Milagros and Friends' campaign, resulting in the planting of over 1000 native trees in Tambopata, reinforcing our commitment to the protection of biodiversity.

Our work with Forest Friends inspired us to participate in the renewal of the Carbon Neutral certification for Machu Picchu. Adidas 1,000 Trees Campaign

"Thanks to our partnership with Forest Friends, 1,000 trees have been planted on behalf of adidas, with the aim of expanding and conserving the habitat of different species, regenerating forests and capturing more than 3,000 tons of carbon dioxide over a period of 15 years. The planted trees will not only help preserve biodiversity, but will also provide fruits that can be marketed by the people living in the area to promote the local economy and improve their quality of life.
